Support the NC Senior Games State Championships
Hi folks. The State Senior Games organizers are considering dropping Archery from their state championships! Our Hillsborough event had 15 Orange Co and 7 Chatham shooters and several more signed up, but did not shoot that day. So there is interest, we just need to make them aware of us. What we can do:- Register for the state event.
- Contact them. Tell them why you think that archery should remain and why you may not have attended recent games. If distance is part of the problem, let them know! You can email them, use their contact form or call them at 919-851-5456.

- August 14-17th, USAA Target Nationals and U.S. Open, Lubbock Texas. Nationals will be August 14-17 in the Lubbock, Texas. As well as the individual event, there will also be both a mixed team and team competition. Plus, barebow will have their own masters division across the 50, 60 and 70 age classes, while a new barebow award will be presented to the top archer across Indoor Nationals, Field Nationals and Target Nationals.
Central Virginia's Summer Tournament Series
Tucker Park in Maidens, Va. will host four stand-alone archery events known as Central Virginia’s Summer Tournament Series. These start with the May the Fourth be With You on May 4 and continue with It’s June on June 1, Lucky 13th! on July 13, and finishing with Virginia Summer on August 31. Shooters who attend three of the four shoots will be in the running for the grand prize at the end of summer. Also, belt buckles are being made for the top shooter in each division. Total combined scores from three tournaments will be the determining factor for the winner. Divisions must have at least five participants to be eligible for the top prize. Registration for this event has been covered by the Town of Cary! Donations are recommended onsite to GX4 Adaptive Archery, whose mission is to make archery accessible for everyone.
